Burn Notice: a new USA Network original series
“Why Nigeria?”That is the question that Michael Westen has asked every day since he informed that he would have to go to Nigeria.
“Because there are intelligence reports that several Middle Eastern countries are seeking enriched uranium yellowcake from Nigeria.”
That answer did not make much sense. After spending years in Eastern Europe and various OPEC countries, he never once heard of anything having to do with uranium. Sure there were schemes to import weapons from China. There were also different plans to work around trade embargos. But nothing was ever said about uranium. Where in the world were these intelligence reports coming from?
“This was a total waste of my time and my country’s time” Michael kept repeating on the flight back to Miami.
He started to flip through the documents that he came across. The person who supposedly signed the documents had been killed 10 years prior to the date on them. These were obvious forgeries and Westen couldn’t believe that his leadership would overlook such a flaw and base his mission on them.
When Michael landed, he was hoping to see Fiona at the airport. Instead Sam was there, sans his trusty boomstick, with a depressed look on his face.
“They didn’t like your findings, Michael. All of your findings are being buried. This was the evidence they needed to go in front of the United Nations to justify their further operations. You’ve proved them wrong. Even worse, you’ve made the president look like an idiot.”
“Sam, he doesn’t need my help.”
“Michael, there is one more thing.”
“What’s that?”
“There are rumblings that you’ve been burned.”

Ok. I really have no idea how USA Network’s Burn Notice starts out, but from what I’ve read on their website, it sounds like a hell of a show.
The best part is that Bruce Campbell is in it. You can’t go wrong with Bruce Campbell. Ever.
