Boots Randolph has died at 80.
I grew up with his music. Well, my father had a ton of his albums and I grew up listening to them. Loved his stuff. For a little while, I wanted to learn to play the saxophone because of him (and because of Zoot)
Most people know him for “Yakety Sax”. Although you may not know the name of the song, this is what was played behind many of Benny Hill’s bits on his show.
