Brother Kills Brother in Video Game Dispute
A 13 year old kid stabbed his 16 year old brother in the heart and lung over an argument about a video game. Admittedly, I’m competitive when I’m playing a game, but I never had the urge to hit my friend in the head with my Gibson SG while playing guitar hero (although that would be a totally rock and roll thing to do) little less stab anyone.
There is probably a lot more to the story than what has come out. The kid snapped for some reason and I think it is highly unlikely that there wasn’t some underlying issues happening.
“I don’t believe the actual game itself was the cause of it. I don’t believe they were acting out in any way or mimicking anything in a video game. I believe it was actual use of the game and whose turn it was,” said Lansdowne Police Chief Daniel Kortan.
Well, this is a good thing. But that isn’t going to stop the people who blame games as a trigger for violence. Those groups just wait for a tragedy like this to happen so they can jump in front of the cameras and exploit the incident for their political/personal causes.
They were probably playing Manhunt 2.
